After 13 years on the market, Nutifood GrowPLUS+ Malnutrition Formula has relaunched with a new look and improved formula, aiming to boost weight gain for Vietnamese children.
According to a company representative, the new design is modern and easily recognizable, aligning with the preferences of young parents. The product retains the signature red of the special dietary food line for malnourished and stunted children, now combined with white. Key information such as the logo, name, and target consumer remains the same, but the layout has been redesigned to emphasize the FDI (Foundation of Digestion & Immunity) formula, promoting optimal nutrient absorption through "Strong Immunity - Good Digestion."

In addition to the packaging, the product formula now includes 4 times the amount of HMO and 30% more FOS (a soluble fiber). This combination of nutrients forms the FDI formula developed by the Nutifood Sweden Nutrition Research Institute (NNRIS). The product also includes MCT (a rapidly metabolized fat), calcium, iron, zinc, lysine, and vitamin D3 to support overall growth and development.
HMO (Human Milk-Oligosaccharides) is a biologically active substance, the third most abundant component in breast milk after lactose and fat. HMO plays a crucial role in nourishing beneficial gut bacteria, thereby strengthening the digestive and immune systems. 2'-FL, a type of Fucosylated HMO, provides nourishment and promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in a child's gut.
FOS (Fructo-Oligosaccharides) is a soluble fiber found naturally in various plants such as kale, asparagus, onions, bananas, and garlic. FOS acts as a prebiotic, providing a food source for beneficial gut bacteria, helping to balance the gut microbiome and support overall child development.

Nutifood launched the special dietary food GrowPLUS+ Malnutrition Formula on 1/4/2012, addressing the high rate of malnutrition and stunting among Vietnamese children. Founded by doctors and nutritionists, Nutifood aims to improve the health of future generations. The product is researched based on European standards, supplemented with key nutrients like MCT, calcium, iron, zinc, lysine, and vitamin D3 for effective weight gain.
Due to its benefits in supporting nutrient absorption, weight and height gain, and strengthening immunity and digestion, NutiFood GrowPLUS+ consistently leads the market share in the children's supplemental food segment. For 4 consecutive years (from 2016 to 2019), Nutifood GrowPLUS+ was the number 1 specialized product for children in Vietnam in terms of sales. In 2020, the brand received the title of "Top Revenue Brand" in the Children's Milk Powder and Ready-to-Drink Milk Powder for Children segment (holding a 22% market share according to Nielsen's market report from 5/2019 to 6/2020).
Since 2011, the brand has conducted nutritional check-ups and consultations for over 250,000 Vietnamese children, while researching the most suitable nutritional formula and flavor to encourage milk consumption and appetite.
According to the study "Effectiveness of using Nutifood GrowPLUS+ on nutritional status, immunity, and psychomotor development of malnourished and stunted children aged 1-3 in Bac Giang" conducted by the National Institute of Nutrition, the product helped children gain weight and height after 3 months, reducing rates of picky eating and respiratory infections.
According to the 2023 national survey, the rate of malnutrition and stunting in children under 5 in Vietnam is 18%, placing the country in the group of nations with rates below 20% - the average level according to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification.
Tran Bao Minh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nutifood, emphasized that Nutifood not only produces milk but also develops high-quality nutritional solutions. Nutifood GrowPLUS+ Malnutrition Formula has undergone over a decade of innovation based on scientific research to deliver effective nutrition for malnourished and stunted children.
"This milestone not only refreshes the product's appearance but also reaffirms Nutifood's commitment to continuously raising nutrition standards for Vietnamese children," he stated.
