Over 9,000 F&B industry professionals gather at Fi Vietnam 2026

The Fi Vietnam 2026 exhibition brought together 246 exhibitors and 9,093 visitors to foster business connections, share innovative ideas, and promote sustainable development in the food and beverage (F&B) industry.

The International Exhibition for Food and Beverage Ingredients (Fi Vietnam 2026) was held from 13-15/5 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in TP HCM. It served as a global meeting point for the F&B community, drawing 246 exhibitors and 9,093 trade visitors and industry professionals from 50 countries.

The event also featured participation from key industry associations: the Food and Foodstuff Association of TP HCM (FFA), the Vietnam Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Association (VBA), and the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VaFost).

Businesses at the exhibition had the opportunity to meet strategic partners, discover new ingredient sources, stay updated on emerging consumer trends, and expand their business cooperation.

Ben Wong, General Director of Informa Markets Vietnam and a representative of the organizing committee, spoke at the opening ceremony. He highlighted Fi Vietnam's continued role as a leading exhibition for food and beverage ingredients, establishing a strategic trade platform that fosters innovation, development opportunities, and cooperation between domestic and international businesses.

Pham Khanh Phong Lan, Director of the Department of Food Safety of TP HCM, noted that Fi Vietnam serves as more than just a platform for showcasing advanced products and technologies. She emphasized its role in providing Vietnamese businesses with opportunities to learn, exchange experiences, and expand their international cooperation networks, ultimately boosting their competitiveness in the global market.

Reflecting its role as an international connector for the F&B industry, Fi Vietnam 2026 featured international pavilions from Japan, South Korea, China, India, and Thailand. These brought a diverse array of ingredients, solutions, and advanced technologies from various nations.

The event attracted 250 international delegations and key buyers from Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and China. An additional 20 visitor delegations participated through a supported group visitor program. These networking and market research activities reinforce Fi Vietnam's standing as a premier international trade platform for the ASEAN F&B industry.

Additionally, 6 specialized ingredient pavilions drew considerable interest at the exhibition. These included health ingredients, natural ingredients, beverage ingredients, pet food ingredients, probiotics, and functional ingredients.

Beyond being a platform for trade and product display, Fi Vietnam 2026 served as a forum for in-depth knowledge, featuring over 60 specialized conference and workshop sessions. With leading experts and businesses participating, these forums provided practical insights into new trends, research, and applications in the food and beverage ingredients industry.

Notably, Halal Day @ Fi Vietnam was a prominent feature at this year's exhibition, providing a dedicated networking space for the Halal sector. A workshop titled "Establishing the Future of the Halal Industry in Vietnam: Assessments and Development Opportunities," alongside Halal consultation services and a Halal product display area, offered practical information on standards, markets, and business expansion opportunities for Vietnamese companies.

The organizing committee stated that Fi Vietnam 2026, part of the global Fi exhibition series, continues to be a vital platform for the food and beverage ingredients industry. The 2026 edition expanded its scale and international reach, solidifying Fi Vietnam's position as a crucial trade gateway. It connects Vietnamese businesses with global supply chains, ingredient suppliers, technology solutions, and international market trends.

Building on this year's success, Fi Vietnam 2028 is scheduled to return from 17-19/5/2028 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center. It will feature an expanded scale, offering even more opportunities for trade connections and strategic cooperation within the F&B business community.

Concurrently, the Fi exhibition series across ASEAN will continue to foster regional industry connections through major events like Fi Asia Indonesia 2026 and Fi Asia Thailand 2027. These initiatives aim to strengthen trade cooperation, expand partner networks, and drive long-term growth for the regional F&B industry.
