Originating from a flower market organized by Phu My Hung Company in 2004 to serve residents, the Phu My Hung spring flower festival has gradually expanded its scale, becoming a familiar attraction for people in TP HCM. The event draws many visitors each Tet, creating an additional spring leisure space for the community.

Each year, the Phu My Hung flower street selects themes centered on traditional cultural values and images of Vietnamese villages. Many seasons have recreated scenes of rice fields, village gates, or the Mekong Delta through themes like "Returning to the Village," "Harvest Season," "Spring on the Waterway," and "Bringing Prosperity to the Flower Fields." Additionally, themes such as "Joyful Spring," "Prosperous Spring," "Reunion Spring," or "Melodious Spring" convey positive hopes for the new year. This blend of traditional elements and modern urban space contributes to the festival's unique character.
For Tet Binh Ngo 2026, the event continues with the theme "Spring of Connection." This theme emphasizes family reunion, while also promoting connection between regions and Vietnamese communities both domestically and abroad amidst continuous urban development.

This year's flower street is designed along Ho Ban Nguyet, stretching approximately 700 meters. The space comprises many miniature scenes, creating a continuous journey that illustrates the interplay of tradition and modernity, humanity and nature, and expanding urban areas.
At the entrance, a 4,5-meter-tall polygonal horse zodiac animal is placed beside a bamboo grove, creating a visual focal point that evokes the continuation of familiar values and an innovative spirit. This arrangement helps define the flower street's overarching message.
In the central area, the "Spring of Connection - Stepping Towards the Future" miniature cluster is inspired by the metro line, symbolizing urban infrastructure connectivity. This space draws inspiration from the metro line, a vital transport link for the city, and integrates heritage symbols from TP HCM, former Binh Duong, and former Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The lighting system connects Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market, the Oil Flower Tower, and the lighthouse, suggesting a synchronous development direction and the connection between localities during administrative boundary expansion.

The theme of connection extends to the "Sails Reaching Far" miniature on Ho Ban Nguyet. Models of coracles and traditional boats, combined with lighting effects, evoke the sea and outward journeys. At the end of the flower street, a decorative cluster shaped like the number 2026, accompanied by a prominent red horse zodiac animal on a traditional pattern background, creates a visual highlight and conveys hopes for a stable, prosperous new year.
According to a Phu My Hung representative, the blend of traditional values and modern influences is also evident in the Binh Ngo year's zodiac animal miniatures. The "Triumphant Spring" miniature draws inspiration from the Thanh Giong figure, while the "Four Seasons of Fragrance" horse-drawn carriage cluster recreates the image of a traditional horse cart laden with flowers, reminiscent of familiar village life. These areas are arranged as resting points, connecting memories across generations and enhancing the visitor experience.
Additionally, the Calligraphy Master Street miniature, with its open and simplified design, reinterprets the custom of asking for calligraphy at the beginning of the year with a modern approach while retaining its traditional cultural essence. The Phu My Hung spring flower festival for Tet Binh Ngo 2026 is scheduled to open to visitors from 11/2 to 20/2 (the 24th of the twelfth lunar month to the 4th day of Tet). The opening ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on 11/2. The event is expected to continue providing a spring leisure space and enriching cultural activities at the beginning of the year in TP HCM.
