Vincom Retail aims for over 100 shopping malls

Vincom Retail, owner of the Vincom shopping mall chain, currently operates 90 facilities nationwide and plans to expand to 110 locations with 3,5 million square meters of floor area.

This ambitious goal was outlined by Tran Mai Hoa, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Vincom Retail (VRE), in the company's recently published 2025 annual report. The company aims to become a leading retail real estate developer and manager in Asia.

Vincom Retail currently owns, manages, and operates 90 shopping malls across the country, totaling 1,91 million square meters of retail floor area. The Vingroup-affiliated company further targets expanding its portfolio to 110 shopping malls, encompassing approximately 3,5 million square meters of floor area.

Concurrently, Vincom Retail plans to develop 75 new commercial streets nationwide, covering a total land area of up to 3,5 million square meters. Vincom Retail also intends to gradually expand into international markets. This expansion will occur either through development within the Vingroup ecosystem or by actively seeking investment opportunities in potential markets.

By the end of last year, the Vincom system hosted nearly 1,000 brands, with 269 new labels joining in 2025. For the current year, the company targets welcoming an additional 30% of new brands. In the short term, Vincom Retail anticipates opening a new shopping mall in Dan Phuong, Ha Noi, by the end of the year. This facility will offer approximately 25,000 square meters of total floor area.

For its existing system of 90 shopping malls, the company will explore options to optimize asset value. These strategies include repositioning, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), or integrating stable operating facilities into real estate investment trusts (REITs).

Financially, VRE projects revenue of 10,132 billion VND, representing a 16% increase over 2025. The company's after-tax profit target is 5,375 billion VND, a 15% rise.

As of 31/12/2025, Vincom Retail reported an accumulated profit of 27,040 billion VND, exceeding 1 billion USD, according to its audited financial statements. Despite this, the company has proposed not distributing dividends, opting to retain all profits for business operations. The last dividend payment by Vincom Retail was in 2019, a 10,5% cash dividend.
