PVCFC supports Khanh Hoa residents in flood recovery

PVCFC provides essential goods, fertilizers, and farming techniques to help Khanh Hoa residents stabilize their lives and restore agricultural production after prolonged floods.

After prolonged periods of heavy rain and storms, many areas in Khanh Hoa province are still working to overcome the consequences. Homes were damaged, daily life was disrupted, and the land – the foundation of residents' livelihoods – suffered from inundation and erosion, posing risks for subsequent growing seasons.

In this context, Ca Mau Fertilizer (PVCFC) launched the program "Ca Mau Fertilizer - Sharing Together" in Dien Dien commune, Khanh Hoa province, on 15/12, to support residents during the difficult post-flood period. As part of the program, local families received 100 million dong, equivalent to 200 essential goods packages; 280 million dong, equivalent to 20 tons of fertilizer for agricultural production; and 160 million dong for the construction of a Great Unity House.

This support helps households alleviate immediate pressures, especially as many daily activities have not yet returned to normal after the floods. Beyond supporting daily life, the program also focuses on restoring agricultural production, a key factor in helping residents recover steadily after the floods.

Residents received fertilizer and technical guidance on soil improvement and post-flood land treatment, preparing suitable farming conditions for the new season. According to a company representative, amidst the ongoing post-flood challenges, the "Sharing Together" program provides timely and practical assistance, offering residents renewed confidence to stabilize their lives quickly.

During the program, Nguyen Tan Dat, PVCFC's Deputy Marketing Director, stated that the company views its development as inseparable from farmers' livelihoods and community sustainability. Proactively partnering with disaster-affected localities is both a support during difficult times and a long-term commitment to help residents protect livelihoods, restore production, and build a stable, sustainable agriculture.

"The 'Sharing Together' program aims to spread a spirit of mutual support and strengthen the bond between businesses and communities amid increasingly complex climate change and natural disasters," Dat said.
