According to a company representative, officially expanding operations in the Vietnamese market in January this year marks a significant step for the group, which has over 85 years of experience in stone wool materials. Rockwool has also commenced operations at its factory in Tay Ninh to ensure a proactive domestic supply. Local production in Vietnam reduces delivery times from approximately 4-6 weeks to 4-6 days.
At the event, guests explored Rockwool's stone wool ecosystem through various real-world application models. Solutions included: roof systems (Cool 'n' Comfort) to limit heat radiation; wall and ceiling systems (Safe 'n' Silent) to minimize noise. Additionally, there were solutions for fire doors, modular homes, facades, HVAC (Thermalrock), fire-resistant cores specifically for sandwich panels (Spanrock - Lamrock), and industrial insulation (ProRox). All product lines meet Euroclass A1 fire standards. Produced from natural stone, these fire-resistant insulation materials offer durability throughout a project's lifespan, are recyclable, and support projects in achieving LEED and Lotus green building certifications.

Beyond product introductions, the program featured an experience zone illustrating the materials' thermal and acoustic insulation capabilities. In the insulated house model, a heat source placed above simulated high-temperature conditions, while the inner surface with Rockwool stone wool maintained a stable temperature. The temperature difference between the two surfaces demonstrated the effectiveness of the insulation layer.
In the soundproof box model, high-intensity sound was emitted when the box lid was open. When closed, the stone wool layer significantly reduced the sound level transmitted outside. These models allowed attendees to directly observe how the material performs in simulated environments.
During the event's ceremony, Rockwool's leadership performed a symbolic activity depicting the transformation of lava into stone wool. According to a company representative, this imagery symbolizes the connection between the group's technical foundation, present in over 120 countries, and its mission to create sustainable living standards in Vietnam.
For the 2026-2030 period, Rockwool plans to focus on providing technical support for major construction projects and structures with stringent fire safety requirements, including those applying QCVN 06/2023 standards. The company also stated that its products are used in several Vietnamese projects, such as the Tan Son Nhat airport T3 terminal, Quang Trach I thermal power plant, Vinfast factory, and various large-scale industrial projects.
Through this event, Rockwool introduced its insulation and fire protection material solutions, while also engaging with experts and construction businesses on green material trends in the building industry. The company believes its stone wool solutions can contribute to enhancing safety standards, energy efficiency, and sustainability for future construction projects.
