Sacombank adds quick payment feature to support online shopping

Sacombank introduces Click to Pay for Visa cardholders, enabling swift online payments, minimizing data entry, and enhancing security for digital shopping.

The new feature eliminates the need for Sacombank Visa cardholders to remember or enter their card number, expiration date, or CVV during online purchases. Users also avoid saving card information on e-commerce platforms, mitigating the risk of personal data exposure in the digital environment.

On websites displaying the Click to Pay icon, transactions are processed quickly and seamlessly with a single tap. This streamlined payment process shortens order completion times and offers a more convenient online shopping experience compared to traditional methods.

Regarding security, Click to Pay operates on Visa's card information tokenization platform, the Visa Token Service (VTS). This technology replaces actual card details with tokens during transactions, integrating multiple advanced security layers. This minimizes fraud risks, enhances overall safety, and increases transaction approval rates in e-commerce.

Additionally, the feature integrates with Passkey authentication, allowing users to verify their identity without a password through biometrics like fingerprints or FaceID. This means customers only need a single authentication step to complete transactions, replacing manual one-time password (OTP) entry. This significantly boosts both security and convenience during the payment process.

According to Visa, Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to implement Click to Pay. Sacombank is currently among the leading banks adopting this feature, acting as both a card issuer and a payment acceptor.

A Sacombank representative stated that deploying Click to Pay aligns with the bank's strategy to modernize payment infrastructure and integrate new technology standards. This solution enhances security, improves transaction processing efficiency, and meets the increasing demand for digital experiences from customers amid rapid e-commerce growth.

Currently, Sacombank Visa cardholders can use Click to Pay with e-commerce partners globally that accept the feature. In Vietnam, many brands across shopping, entertainment, and education sectors already support Click to Pay, including: UrBox, PVI Insurance, AeoneShop, Galaxy Cinema, ACFC, Maison, Elsa English, LG Electronics Vietnam, British Council, and KOI The. The list of partners is expected to expand further.
