SHB SAHA adds automatic profit generation feature

SHB launches "effortless profit generation" feature on its SHB SAHA digital banking app, allowing idle funds in payment accounts to automatically generate profit with an interest rate of up to 6% per year.

SHB has introduced a new "effortless profit generation" feature on its SHB SAHA digital banking app, enabling customers to automatically earn interest on their idle funds. This innovative service allows money in payment accounts to generate profit at an attractive interest rate of up to 6% per year, providing a convenient way for users to optimize their finances.

Customers can activate this feature with ease, requiring a one-time setup on the SHB SAHA app. Users simply select their preferred payment account and establish a minimum balance they wish to maintain. Once the account balance exceeds this predefined threshold, the system automatically transfers the surplus funds into a profit-generating mechanism.

A significant advantage of this feature is that customers retain full access to their entire account balance for daily transactions and spending. Should any transaction occur, the system intelligently adjusts the funds currently generating profit to meet the customer's immediate needs, ensuring seamless financial management without interruption.

The entire process, from registration and activation to monitoring profit performance, is managed online through the SHB SAHA app. Users can conveniently track accrued interest, accumulated interest, interest receipt history, and transaction statements directly within the application. This clear and intuitive display of cash flow and profitability empowers customers to proactively control their financial situation.

According to an SHB representative, the introduction of "effortless profit generation" marks a strategic step in expanding the utility ecosystem on the SHB SAHA platform. This initiative aims to deliver digital financial solutions that are both convenient and more closely aligned with customers' diverse cash flow management requirements.

This feature is an integral part of SHB's broader digital transformation roadmap, which is guided by the vision of establishing a new-generation national-scale bank. This transformation leverages technology and innovation as core drivers for development. Currently, the bank is implementing a technology strategy based on the 5 FIRST model: Data + AI First, People First, Cloud First, Security First, and Mobile First. This model is designed to enhance data capabilities, apply artificial intelligence (AI), improve security, and develop robust digital infrastructure.

SHB has set ambitious goals, aiming to become a leading digital bank in efficiency by 2030, a strong retail bank, and a top provider of financial services for both corporate and individual customers. Looking further ahead to 2035, the bank envisions itself as a leading digital and green bank within the region.
