Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) has made a remarkable debut on the Skytrax awards system, securing a place among the top 100 global airlines. The airline also ranked 5th in the World's Most Improved Airlines category. This achievement marks a significant leap, as SPA climbed 57 positions from its 156th spot in 2025, a mere 10 months after operating its first commercial flight.

These recognitions align with the airline's core mission: to establish a leisure airline with exemplary operational standards, centering on Phu Quoc to expand global connectivity. To achieve this, SPA is developing its flight network, both domestic and international, connecting to Phu Quoc, while continuously enhancing the customer experience throughout the entire journey.
According to the airline, the "asia's best leisure airline 2026" title holds special significance. It acknowledges the "resort in the sky" experience being cultivated on every flight. This accolade also reinforces SPA's role in the strategy to elevate Phu Quoc into a world-class leisure destination.

SPA is expanding its flight network to key markets in Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, while gradually reaching China, India, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Central Asian countries. By the end of this year, the fleet is projected to reach 33 aircraft, including 5 wide-body Airbus A330s. The fleet size is expected to grow further to 60 aircraft by 2027 and aims for 100 aircraft by 2030, and 200 aircraft by 2035.
Safety is a continuous foundation for the airline, ensuring efficient operations during growth. This is evident in its consistently high on-time performance, which frequently places it among the leaders in Vietnam's aviation industry. The airline consistently refines its products, services, and passenger experience at all touchpoints, from the aircraft cabin and lounges to ground services.

Nguyen Manh Quan, General Director of Sun PhuQuoc Airways, stated that being honored by Skytrax in multiple categories after 10 months of operation is a special milestone. He described the recent journey as "short" but "high-intensity," as the airline had to build its operational foundation, expand its fleet and flight network, and develop 5-star service quality.
"This is a great encouragement and a driving force for SPA to maintain safety and operational standards, contributing to expanding Phu Quoc's global connectivity," the airline leader affirmed.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways was established in 2025, operating its first commercial flight on 1/11/2025. Currently, its network connects various domestic locations and 7 international destinations: Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Chengdu, and Bangkok.
