TH True Milk honored as green enterprise

TH Group ranked among "Green Enterprises - Net Zero in Action" at the World Energy and Environment Forum - Vietnam 2026 on 8/7.

According to event organizers, TH is one of 10 enterprises recognized for implementing a green economic model, innovating technology, improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and developing a sustainable business model.

The selection results were based on nominations from localities, referenced tools and documents from the World Energy Council in Vietnam (WEC-VN), and evaluated by independent experts.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TH Group, accepted the "Green Enterprise - Net Zero in Action" award (center) presented by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang (left) at the event. Photo: TH Group

A representative from TH Group stated that the award acknowledges the company's long-standing pursuit of a green and circular economic model, aiming for a balance between economic efficiency, social responsibility, and environmental protection.

Since its establishment in 2009, Labor Hero Thai Huong, Founder of TH Group, has chosen a path of sustainable development. This path is built on a foundation of interwoven science, technology, and management, emphasizing innovation and respect for nature. Her vision is to provide all-natural products, improve community health, and create lasting value for society.

Ms. Thai Huong's philosophy is realized through a series of closed-loop production projects in agriculture, dairy farming, and food processing. These initiatives aim to efficiently use resources, conserve energy, and reduce emissions.

The group calculates greenhouse gas emissions according to the international GHG Protocol standard, updated with the latest IPCC guidelines. All member units monitor emission indicators and implement reduction solutions, which has led to a gradual decrease in emission intensity per product unit over the years. In 2023 and 2024, TH Milk Joint Stock Company and Nui Tien Purified Water Company Limited achieved carbon neutrality certification according to international standards, verified by the independent organization Control Union.

Additionally, TH promotes the use of renewable energy through rooftop solar power systems. In 2025, total solar electricity generation reached over 14,7 million kWh, contributing to a reduction of over 9,700 tons of CO₂ annually. Concurrently, energy consumption intensity at the dairy factory decreased by 25%, from 0,14 in 2023 to 0,105 in 2025, thanks to optimized energy efficiency solutions.

The enterprise also invested in high-tech wastewater treatment systems, reusing biological sludge and livestock waste to produce organic fertilizers and bedding materials for barns. According to TH, these solutions reduce methane emissions by at least 70% compared to conventional methods.

In packaging, TH has implemented various plastic reduction initiatives, such as using bio-based yogurt spoons since 2018, reducing the number of spoons accompanying yogurt packs by 50% since 2022, and optimizing packaging designs. Nui Tien Purified Water Factory alone reduces nearly 600 tons of plastic annually by eliminating bottle cap shrink wrap and reducing label thickness and bottle weight.

A TH representative stated that one factor contributing to the enterprise's recognition in the "Green Enterprise - Net Zero in Action" category is its consistent publication of Sustainability Reports according to GRI standards since 2018. These reports regularly disclose ESG metrics across six pillars: nutrition and health, education, environment, community, people, and animal welfare. They are also audited by an independent entity to ensure transparency and accountability.

The World Energy and Environment Forum – Vietnam 2026 is a national forum on energy, environment, and green transition, attended by government leaders and nearly 500 delegates. The "Green Path - Net Zero Vietnam" exhibition also took place within the event, gathering over 50 booths showcasing green development models, technologies, and initiatives from enterprises and localities nationwide.
