Three pillars help Samtec Vietnam earn HR Asia recognition

Samtec Vietnam was recognized as one of the "Best Companies to Work for in Asia" by HR Asia, attributing its success to a people-centric strategy focused on listening, training, and adaptability.

The HR Asia awards ceremony was held in Ho Chi Minh City on 9/7. The organizing committee evaluated companies across three main criteria: Core, which assesses culture, governance, and leadership; Self, measuring employee engagement and pride; and Group, focusing on organizational teamwork.

Chung Teck Chin, general director of Samtec Vietnam, stated that the "Best Companies to Work for in Asia" recognition is not coincidental. It stems from a well-structured human resources strategy, consistently implemented over the years, which places people at the core of all decisions.

"This achievement belongs to all Samtec members, who have dedicated their passion and contributed valuable ideas daily. This milestone is a source of pride and motivation for us to continue building an even better working environment, one where every individual is heard, respected, and given opportunities to develop," Chung Teck Chin added.

Under the theme "People First, Always," HR Asia 2026 highlighted that sustainable business success originates from its people. This philosophy guides Samtec Vietnam's human resources strategy, which is articulated through three core pillars:

Every voice counts (Voice Counts)

A company representative noted that employee feedback forms the foundation for leadership to continuously innovate, address shortcomings, and progressively cultivate a better work environment.

To support this, leadership implemented a "continuous improvement program," encouraging individuals at all levels to propose initiatives, participate in process enhancements, and receive recognition for their contributions. "We transform a culture of listening from a mere slogan into concrete actions, motivating employees to actively engage and commit for the long term," the representative stated.

The skills race (The Skills Race)

Acquiring and mastering technology is crucial for individual and organizational advancement. Reflecting this, Samtec Vietnam systematically invests in employee development tailored to specific professional roles. Staff members can enhance their knowledge through advanced domestic and international training programs (US, Costa Rica, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan) and receive comprehensive soft skills development.

The company offers internal English classes, from basic to advanced, and sponsors online learning platforms like Gitiho and Duolingo, enabling employees to proactively enhance their knowledge anytime, anywhere.

Increasing adaptability (The Resilience Revolution)

Embracing the artificial intelligence wave, Samtec integrates AI Copilot into daily workflows. This enhances digital resilience, optimizes performance, and streamlines team tasks.

Leadership actively fosters emotional resilience, effective communication, positive energy, and team cohesion through emotional intelligence (EQ) training courses.

The representative explained that in a dynamic world, adaptability, innovation, and collaboration are key to Samtec Vietnam's sustainable growth. This ethos extends beyond work, fostered through collective activities, such as employees finishing a marathon together earlier this year.

"Such platforms help build resilience, perseverance, and teamwork — values we consider fundamental for the organization to overcome challenges and achieve long-term growth," the representative added.
