The partnership agreement between UpBase and Lark Suite was announced at "The Next Retail Era" event, organized by UpBase in collaboration with Lark Suite and TikTok Shop on 27/11.
At the event, representatives from both companies emphasized that sustainable growth for retail businesses from 2025 to 2030 will depend on their ability to standardize internal operations and establish an omnichannel infrastructure. This infrastructure integrates multiple channels onto a single system. In this model, Lark serves as the "communication and data infrastructure" layer, while UpBase operates at the "execution and operational management" layer. This creates a continuous operational cycle, from internal communication and planning to booking, livestreaming, warehousing, and real-time reporting.

Daniel Deng, senior solutions architect at Lark, stated that many businesses experience slow growth not due to a lack of personnel or technology, but because data is fragmented across too many tools. "Businesses cannot make quick decisions if data does not reach the right people at the right time. Lark addresses this challenge with a unified platform that can be customized for any business model," Daniel Deng said.
From UpBase's perspective, Nguyen Van Hoan, COO, explained that the UpBase platform is built based on the operational realities of Vietnamese businesses. Its strength lies in its ability to customize workflows, manage pricing, SKUs, and inventory, coordinate campaigns, manage orders, and provide real-time omnichannel reporting. "We do not force businesses into a mold; instead, we adapt the system to how they currently operate," Hoan stated.

The combination of these two platform layers—Lark unifying communication and data, and UpBase optimizing processes and execution—helps businesses accelerate processing. This is particularly crucial as TikTok Shop emerges as a high-speed sales channel, where every minute of delay incurs significant opportunity costs.
Vietnam's retail and e-commerce market is entering a strong growth phase. Revenue for the first nine months of the year reached 305.9 trillion VND, a 34.35% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to Metric. This market is projected to exceed 60 billion USD by 2030, as per Mordor Intelligence 2024. Vietnam remains among the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia, driven by the breakthrough of social commerce and video-based shopping models.
Rapid growth presents opportunities but also significant challenges. Fragmented data across TikTok Shop, Shopee, websites, and POS systems, along with disjointed processes and manual Excel reports, make it difficult for businesses to monitor efficiency in real time. Disconnected operations among marketing, sales, warehouse, and customer service departments lead to information delays and high operating costs. This often results in businesses experiencing "revenue growth without profit growth."
TikTok Shop, with its shoppertainment model (combining entertainment and shopping) and real-time sales speed, is considered a crucial component of the omnichannel strategy for the 2025-2030 period. However, the explosion of video shopping necessitates businesses to restructure their entire operations, from booking KOLs/KOCs and content production to livestreaming and performance measurement.
