Vietnam Electricity (EVN)'s exhibit highlights its key role in establishing the national power system, the energy lifeline of Vietnam's economy.
At the center of the booth is a model of the national power system, simulating the entire Vietnamese power grid as of 2025, with a total capacity exceeding 88,400 MW, ranking first in Southeast Asia and 22nd globally.
A highlight of the model is the three-circuit 500 kV North-South transmission line, which helps balance loads across the country. The Quang Trach - Pho Noi section of the 500 kV third circuit was constructed rapidly in six months and put into operation in 2024. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the project as an unprecedented feat for Vietnam's power and construction sectors.
The model also showcases the presence of electricity across border regions and islands. Electricity has reached 11 special administrative units (formerly island districts), corresponding to 18 Vietnamese islands, with 14 islands directly powered by the national grid. Most recently, EVN completed the project to bring the national grid to Con Dao Island via a 103.7 km 110 kV undersea cable, the longest undersea cable in Southeast Asia.
