VinFast exports 38th electric vehicle batch

Over 5,000 VinFast electric vehicles were transported by the company on two cargo ships to European and regional markets on 21-22/7.

VinFast completed its 38th electric vehicle export, shipping over 5,000 EVs on two specialized RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off) vessels from MPC port in Hai Phong on 21-22/7. This significant shipment is destined for European and other international markets, marking a crucial step in the company's global expansion strategy. The two vessels, Sea Patris and Silver Queen, are specifically designed for automobile transport.

The Luxembourg-flagged Sea Patris loaded about 1,500 VinFast VF 6 electric vehicles, produced for partner GSM. These vehicles will support Green SM's expansion into European countries in the coming period. Painted red and white with VinFast branding across its hull, the Sea Patris is the second dedicated vessel for VinFast's European and international exports. After departing MPC port, the ship is expected to stop at Nansha port in China before arriving at Koper port in Slovenia in late August. From there, the VinFast vehicles will be transported to GSM's target markets, furthering the expansion of Vietnam's all-electric ride-hailing platform in Europe.

Concurrently, the Panama-flagged Silver Queen loaded over 3,500 VinFast vehicles of various models at Lan Ha Bay, bound for the Philippines and Indonesia. VinFast confirmed that it has a long-term charter for the Silver Queen, which, similar to the Sea Patris, features its own distinct paint scheme and branding.

The Vietnamese automaker noted that since its inaugural voyage in late 2022, the Silver Queen has completed 20 VinFast vehicle shipments, delivering tens of thousands of vehicles to the US, Canada, Philippines, Indonesia, and other markets. VinFast has also chartered 16 other RORO ships for electric vehicle exports. The ship's arrival at Hai Phong port on 21/7 marked its 21st voyage transporting vehicles for VinFast. After loading, the Silver Queen is expected to reach Batangas port in the Philippines and Jakarta in Indonesia in August to deliver the vehicles to their respective markets.

According to experts, VinFast's chartering of additional specialized international transport ships highlights the global development of both VinFast and GSM. To date, VinFast operates in over 10 international markets, including the US, Canada, Europe, India, Indonesia, Philippines, and the Middle East. Similarly, Green SM has expanded its operations to Laos, Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Kazakhstan, with further expansion into several European countries planned.
