VNPT simplifies electronic labor contract process

VNPT aims to provide an end-to-end electronic labor contract solution, covering everything from human resource management system data to authentication, signing, certification, transmission, and storage.

According to VNPT representatives, electronic labor contracts, when executed as data messages, hold the same legal value as written contracts if all conditions are met. Contracts require identity verification, digital signing, timestamping, and data message certification before being uploaded to the electronic labor contract platform for identification code issuance and storage.

From a technology perspective, Do Ke Cong, director of the enterprise and institutional customer product center at VNPT Group, believes the value of electronic contracts lies in their ability to connect with human resource management processes.

"Digital signing and electronic contract solutions can integrate and link with the human resource management (HRM) systems businesses currently use. An electronic labor contract is merely the first step toward digitizing the entire management process," Cong stated.

However, for HR departments, the shift from paper to electronic contracts is a step forward in management efficiency. For employees, the user experience is a crucial consideration. Cong noted that while employees previously only needed to receive and sign a paper contract, they now must complete additional verification and digital signing steps. Therefore, even if the underlying technology is complex, the user experience needs simplification.

This focus guides VNPT as it refines its electronic labor contract solution. The solution integrates with human resource management software via API, allowing businesses to continue using familiar systems while the authentication, signing, and completion of contracts occur on the digital platform.

For employees, the process is optimized for smartphone use to authenticate and sign contracts. VNPT's electronic contract and digital signature solutions integrate with national identity platforms like VNeID, supporting employees in completing verification steps more conveniently. Additionally, those without a digital signature can register for free and complete the entire process quickly, anytime, anywhere, using the VNPT SmartCA application.

Another important requirement is ensuring legal validity and data integrity. VNPT representatives explained that after digital signing by all parties, contracts are timestamped and packaged with data message certification before being transmitted to the platform for identification code issuance and official storage.

Leveraging its capabilities in telecommunications infrastructure, information technology, identity, digital signatures, and digital platforms for businesses, VNPT aims to provide an end-to-end electronic labor contract solution. This covers everything from human resource management system data to authentication, signing, certification, transmission, and storage.

The objective is not just to help businesses "sign contracts online", but to create a process simple enough for employees and integrated enough for business systems, all while strictly adhering to the specialized regulations of State management agencies," a company representative said.

With a clear legal framework and ready technological infrastructure, electronic labor contracts are expected to become a crucial link in human resource management digitalization. The benefits extend beyond reduced paperwork and shorter signing times to data connectivity, process standardization, and a more convenient experience for both businesses and employees.
