Why NeBiolina chooses oats for skincare

The oat ingredient in NeBiolina's product lines helps reduce inflammation and itching, supports skin barrier restoration, and is suitable for sensitive skin.

NeBiolina, an Italian cosmetics brand established in 2015, specializes in body care products like massage oils and shower gels. The brand's primary ingredient is oats, which provide deep hydration, soothe, and rebalance the skin's hydrolipidic film. NeBiolina has developed these skincare product lines using oats cultivated in the Ca dei Fiori fields in Italy.

Oats have been recognized for their skin-soothing properties for thousands of years. According to a brand representative, ancient Egyptians and inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula used oats as poultices and bath soaks to treat eczema, soothe burns, and alleviate dermatitis. This historical use underscores the long-standing trust in oats for skin health.

The modern scientific understanding and application of oats in skincare began to formalize in the mid-20th century. In 1945 at Mayo Clinic, colloidal oatmeal was successfully developed to disperse easily in water, optimizing its therapeutic capabilities. This innovation paved the way for its widespread use. By 2003, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved colloidal oatmeal as a skin protectant, further validating its efficacy and safety.

Oats contain many beneficial components for the skin. Research published on PubMed in 2008 indicated that avenanthramides, phenolic compounds found in oats, provide anti-inflammatory and anti-itch effects. Additionally, beta-glucan acts as a moisture-locking film, supporting the restoration of the skin's natural protective barrier. Clinical studies confirm that oat usage improves dryness, itching, and flaking in eczema patients. Furthermore, natural saponin compounds in oats serve as a gentle cleansing agent, removing dirt without stripping the skin's biological lipid film.

NeBiolina specifically targets mothers and babies with its oat-based skincare solutions. A representative stated that the company uses oats in these products because infant skin is delicate, and a mother's skin during and after pregnancy is sensitive due to hormonal changes. "They require a skincare solution compatible with the body's natural microbiome. Oats meet these demands by providing intensive hydration, strengthening the epidermal lipid layer, and immediately soothing minor irritations," the representative said.

NeBiolina products are certified by ICEA Eco Bio Cosmetics, one of Europe's organic standards. The brand also proactively tests for heavy metal content (nickel, chromium, cobalt) at levels below 0,4 ppm, eliminating the risk of irritation for sensitive skin, ensuring product safety and quality.

However, products have been officially distributed by Hunmed company since late 2025 on e-commerce platforms and the brand's website. Vietnamese consumers can access genuine NeBiolina products through its website, Mall stores on e-commerce platforms (Shopee, TikTok Shop), and mother and baby stores.

Currently, the brand offers a comprehensive care ecosystem with products including: NeBiolina Dentifricio Primi Denti toothpaste, NeBiolina Olio Massaggio Mamma &Be be massage oil for mothers and babies, NeBiolina Intimo Delicato intimate wash, and NeBiolina - Bagnetto Corpo Capelli baby wash and shampoo.
