This year, most localities advanced their 10th grade entrance exam schedules by two weeks compared to previous years, holding them in late May. This adjustment aims to avoid conflicts with the national high school graduation exam schedule, set for 11-12/6.
Regarding the third subject, only Tuyen Quang opted for Natural Sciences. Ca Mau, Lam Dong, and Vinh Long will determine admissions based on academic review, while all other localities will test a foreign language, primarily English.
According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training, localities have the flexibility to choose between a competitive examination, academic review, or a combination of both for 10th grade admissions. If a competitive examination is chosen, it comprises Math, Literature, and a third subject (or a combined subject test). Localities select this subject and must announce it before 31/3.
Localities will announce exam scores and admission benchmarks simultaneously. Typically, they are required to complete their initial admissions processes before 31/7.
