Academy of Journalism and Communication sets highest benchmark score at 27.23/30

Multimedia Communication and Public Relations majors lead the 2026 benchmark scores at the Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC), while journalism programs saw a decrease of 3-6 points.

The Academy of Journalism and Communication announced the benchmark scores for its 32 majors and programs on the evening of 8/9.

Based on high school graduation exam results, the journalism and publishing group of majors, assessed on a 40-point scale with Literature scores doubled, had benchmark scores ranging from 28.6 to 32.83. Television Journalism recorded the highest score, while Photojournalism had the lowest.

Journalism majors experienced significant drops in benchmark scores, typically by 3-6 points. For instance, Photojournalism, which required over 35 points in 2025, now stands at nearly 29 points, and Online Journalism decreased from 35 to 32 points.

For programs assessed on a 30-point scale, benchmark scores ranged from 22.76 for Philosophy to 27.23 for Multimedia Communication and Public Relations. Communication majors, which last year used a 40-point scale with an average of 9 points per subject, continue to attract strong interest this year.

Look up university benchmark scores and tuition fees.

This year, the Academy of Journalism and Communication plans to enroll 2,150 students through three admission methods: direct admission and priority admission, combined admission using academic records with IELTS or SAT scores, and admission based on high school graduation exam scores.

Tuition fees at the Academy of Journalism and Communication are nearly 559,000 VND per credit for standard programs and 1.17 million VND per credit for accredited programs.

After receiving benchmark scores, candidates must confirm their admission online via the Ministry of Education and Training's system before 5 PM on 21/8 and complete other enrollment procedures according to each university's schedule.
