University of Technology's lowest benchmark score is 22

The University of Technology (UET), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, announced benchmark scores ranging from 22 to 27,78, a decrease from last year.

On the afternoon of 9/8, the University of Technology (UET), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, announced its benchmark scores for admission, ranging from 22 to 27,78. This represents a decrease compared to last year, with control and automation engineering securing the highest score and agricultural technology marking the lowest.

Control and automation engineering reached 27,78 points, a slight decrease of 0,12 points from last year. However, it emerged as the top-scoring major due to a significant drop in information technology's admission score, which fell from 28,19 last year to 25 this year. Agricultural technology maintained its 22-point benchmark, which is also UET's minimum admission threshold for the current academic year.

Despite the overall reduction, the university's benchmark scores remain high and relatively consistent across majors. Several other programs also saw competitive scores approaching 27 points, including mechatronics engineering, computer science, and data science.

For the current academic year, the University of Technology plans to admit 4.020 students. All first-year students will undertake their studies at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi urban area located in Hoa Lac. Admission is conducted through three primary methods: direct admission, consideration of high school graduation exam scores, evaluation based on HSA scores, and review of SAT certificates.

Earlier in July, UET was identified among universities with the most stringent quality assurance thresholds for entry, requiring candidates to achieve a minimum of 22-24 points to be eligible for admission consideration. Tuition fees for the 2026-2027 academic year are set between 38-44 million VND, varying by major.
