Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities admissions scores drop sharply

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, announced admissions scores ranging from 19 to 25,5, a significant decrease compared to last year.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities announced admissions scores for 29 majors and training programs on the evening of 9/8. Multimedia Communications recorded the highest entrance score among these programs.

This year's admissions scores are significantly lower than last year's range of 21,75 to 29 points. This reduction is partly due to several programs, which previously had very high admissions scores, no longer accepting the C00 combination (literature, history, geography). Examples include journalism, oriental studies, and public relations.

The lowest admissions score, 19 points, applies to certain combinations in management science and religious studies. This also aligns with the general floor set by Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Even for other combinations, there is a clear trend of decreasing admissions scores. For instance, in journalism, successful candidates achieved 22 points this year, whereas last year, the admissions score for this program exceeded 25 points across all combinations.

The specific admissions scores for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, are as follows:

This year, the university plans to enroll 2.650 students through three methods: direct admission, assessment scores from Vietnam National University, Hanoi's HSA exam, and scores from the high school graduation exam.

Tuition fees for new students at Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2026-2027 academic year range from 19,1 to 35 million VND.
