Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam sets highest cutoff score at 26,25

International Relations program has the highest cutoff score at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, with other programs starting from 23,75.

The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) announced its cutoff scores for various admission methods on 10/8.

For the admission method using 2026 high school graduation exam scores (method code 100), cutoff scores range from 23,75 to 26,25. The International Relations program recorded the highest score at 26,25, a slight increase of 0,3 points compared to last year. International Communication followed closely with 26 points.

Conversely, Chinese Studies, which held the highest score last year, saw a decrease of about 1,5 points. Japanese Studies and Korean Studies also experienced drops, becoming the two programs with the lowest cutoff scores this year.

Two other admission methods, one combining academic transcripts with international foreign language certificates (method code 410) and another using international assessment certificates (SAT, ACT, A-Level, IB) with international foreign language certificates (method code 415), had identical cutoff scores, ranging from 26,33 to 28,1 points.

The 2026 cutoff scores for DAV programs are as follows:

For 2026, DAV plans to admit 2,200 students across 13 admission combinations, consistent with the previous year. The academy maintains four admission methods: the three mentioned above, plus direct admission.

New conditions apply for the group using academic transcripts combined with international foreign language certificates. Applicants must achieve a score of 22/30 or higher in the three subjects corresponding to their chosen combination in the high school graduation exam. Additionally, the average academic transcript score for two of the three subjects must be 8,5 or higher.

Tuition fees for the 2026-2027 academic year at DAV will be approximately 4,7-5,2 million dong per month, an increase of 0,7-1,3 million dong compared to last year. Certain programs taught entirely in English will have higher tuition fees, ranging from 5,9-6,5 million dong per month.
