On the afternoon of 15/7, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) announced the minimum quality assurance score (minimum admission score) for its various admission methods.
Based on the 2025 high school graduation exam results, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 15 to be eligible to apply to the university. This threshold is 1 to 4 points lower than last year.
For admission based on academic transcripts, candidates must have an average score of 18 for three subjects in 12th grade. For the assessment tests of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) or the V-SAT, the university accepts applications from candidates with a minimum score of 15 (converted to a 30-point scale).
The minimum entry requirements for Health-related programs, as per the Ministry of Education and Training's regulations, will be announced later.
HUTECH also announced the formula for converting minimum and standard admission scores. Specifically, the standard score between different admission methods is converted from a correlation percentile table with specific percentile point range values using the function interpolation method.
Accordingly, from the standard score x belonging to the percentile range (a, b) of one admission method, it will be interpolated equivalently to the standard score y belonging to the corresponding percentile range (c, d) of another admission method according to the formula:

Last year, the standard admission score for HUTECH based on high school graduation exam results ranged from 16 to 21, with the highest scores required for Information Technology and Pharmacy.
