The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a decision on 2/10 to transfer and repurpose the headquarters at 198 Bach Dang Street, Ba Ria ward, for Saigon University to manage and convert into a training location.
The transferred assets include five building blocks and a conference center, covering a total land area of over 147,800 m2, with a usable floor area of nearly 204,500 m2. According to records, the land value alone is over 2,880 ty dong, while the remaining value of the structures is nearly 791 ty dong.
The former Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial administrative - political center was constructed starting in 2009, completed three years later with a total investment of over 1,000 ty dong. It represented the country's first centralized administrative center model. Following administrative changes, the need to utilize this space significantly decreased.
