On 24/6, the institution was recognized by Times Higher Education (THE), a global higher education ranking organization, for its contributions to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In the quality education category (SDG4), FPTU ranked 87th globally, placing it in the top 100 worldwide and first in Vietnam. This criterion reflects the quality of training, access to education, and the institution's contributions to student development. The results also position FPTU among institutions with a significant impact on expanding learning opportunities, developing competencies, and promoting lifelong learning.
After five years of participating in the THE Impact Ratings, FPTU improved its ranking from the 801-1000 group in 2022 to the 201-300 group in 2026. A university representative stated that this achievement reflects international academic recognition of the university's consistent efforts in education, human resource development, community engagement, and advancing sustainable development.
Beyond SDG4, FPTU ranked 14th globally for decent work and economic growth (SDG8), 9th globally for peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG16), and 69th globally for sustainable cities and communities (SDG11). In Asia, the university stands 110th among 941 ranked institutions.
According to Times Higher Education's Performance Highlights Report, FPTU achieved outstanding results in core areas: teaching, research, governance, and community service. This assessment indicates the university's capabilities are recognized across multiple dimensions, from education to societal contributions.

Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of FPT University Council, shared that in today's world of many fluctuations and adverse changes, the important mission of a university is to contribute positively to the sustainable development of the community, the country, and the region. Therefore, being recognized by Times Higher Education reflects the university's steadfast pursuit of its mission for many years.
"FPTU contributes to society through community-oriented activities and by providing high-quality education, training individuals who can participate in building a sustainably developing world, no matter where they work or what position they hold," he emphasized.
Since its early days, FPT University has implemented a training model that emphasizes practical experience, global competence, and social responsibility. As a result, students have opportunities to participate in enterprise semesters, startup activities, interdisciplinary projects, international programs, and community activities during their studies.
Concurrently, the university focuses on developing innovative thinking, self-learning capabilities, adaptability, and a proactive spirit in the AI era.
With five campuses in Ha Noi, Da Nang, Gia Lai, TP HCM, and Can Tho, FPTU contributes to expanding access to high-quality education across various localities, creating a positive impact on the community.
The THE Impact Ratings is a global ranking conducted by Times Higher Education to assess universities' contributions to sustainable development. Unlike rankings focused on research or academic achievements, THE Impact Ratings measures the practical impact of universities on students, communities, the environment, the labor market, and socio-economic development.
Since 2015, the United Nations has established 17 sustainable development goals to preserve the planet and build a peaceful, prosperous world through economic, environmental, and social activities. Times Higher Education also developed a strategic framework for universities to participate in these goals through specific, quantifiable activities to contribute to the sustainable development of the community, the country, and the region.
