The Department of Education and Training announced the decision on 13/2. These high schools, under the department's management, are part of a pilot program for educational service pricing orders.
Mr. Hoang, principal of a high school in suburban Hanoi, stated that his school received approximately 200 million VND. This amount will be distributed to teachers early next year, based on their performance ratings. Each teacher is expected to receive around 3-4 million VND.

Decree 73, issued by the Government in late 6/2024, specifies salary levels and bonus schemes for civil servants, public employees, and military personnel. Bonuses are calculated based on outstanding achievements and annual performance evaluations. The bonus fund is 10% of the total salary fund, excluding allowances.
According to a survey, bonuses for tenured teachers in many schools commonly range from 10-14 million VND per person this year.
However, thousands of teachers in Hanoi have expressed concerns because Tet is nearing, but they have heard nothing about these funds. The reason is that their schools are classified under "educational service ordering" and "autonomous" categories. In essence, this merely changes the funding mechanism from direct allocation to ordering services.
In late 1, the Department announced that schools in the "ordering" group would have their Decree 73 bonuses calculated based on the academic year, rather than disbursed before 31/1 like other public schools. Regarding funding, the Department is developing a plan to report to the City People's Committee and submit it to the People's Council for approval at its 5/2026 session.
