Hanoi's 10th grade entrance exam, which saw a record high of over 124,000 candidates—the largest number nationwide—commenced on 30/5 and continues until 31/5. The literature exam, held on the morning of 30/5, notably addressed the theme of "youth disconnection from the world." The overall pass rate for this year's exam is projected to be around 66%. Following the literature paper, candidates took the foreign language exam (primarily English) for 60 minutes this afternoon, and are scheduled to sit for the mathematics exam on the morning of 31/5.
Students aiming for specialized classes, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, English, French, Russian, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean, will take additional exams on 1/6. The admission scoring system for non-specialized schools is based on the combined scores of three subjects, without any weighting. In contrast, admission to specialized schools considers the total scores from four subjects, with the specialized subject score multiplied by two.
The exam results and official cut-off scores for 10th grade public schools in Hanoi are anticipated to be released between 19/6 and 22/6. The article also referenced the 2025 cut-off scores for 115 public schools in Hanoi.
