In the past three years, the majors with the highest admission scores at Hanoi University (HANU) have been Chinese Language, English Language, and Korean Language, consistently requiring over 30 out of 40 points.
Specifically, the standard Chinese Language program has led for the past two years, reaching 35,8 points in 2024. The advanced program for this major also recorded scores between 33 and 34,95, the highest in its category.
The second highest-scoring major is English Language, with scores ranging from 33,89 to 35,43 for the standard program and 32,48 to 33 for the advanced program. Korean Language once held the top spot three years ago with 36,15 points in its standard program, gradually decreasing to around 32 points last year.
Starting in 2025, the university will multiply the foreign language score by a factor of two for all majors, and either Mathematics or Literature depending on the major. The total score for the three exam subjects (maximum 50 points) will be converted to a 40-point scale. Before this change, three majors—multimedia communications, financial technology, and information technology—did not have their foreign language scores doubled.
Hanoi University's admission scores over the past three years are as follows (majors marked with * did not have their foreign language scores multiplied by two before 2025):

Tuition fees for Hanoi University's 2026 intake will range from 0,86 to 1,75 million VND per credit, representing an increase of approximately 3-10% compared to current rates. The highest tuition fee applies to the advanced information technology program, which is taught in English.
