Hanoi University (HANU) announced its 2026 admission scores on 10/8. For the first time, the university is calculating admission scores by doubling the weight of either Mathematics or Literature, depending on the major, a shift from previous years where only English was doubled.
The total score from three subjects, after applying the weighting (maximum 50 points), will be converted to a 40-point scale.
The English language major leads this year's admission scores with 34,45 points. The Chinese language major, which had topped the list for several years, now ranks second with 34,20 points.
Two new majors, English language - business and international relations, have admission scores of 31,15 and 30,33 respectively.
The information technology major, encompassing both standard and advanced programs, recorded the lowest admission score at 22 out of 40.
