The Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) announced the scores for its first Thinking Assessment Test (TSA) batch on 3/2, one week after the examination. The top-scoring candidate, from Hung Nhan High School in Hung Yen province, achieved 96,1 out of 100 points.
The remaining top five high scorers, all achieving over 90 points, were from Bac Giang High School for the Gifted (Bac Giang), Lien Ha High School (Hanoi), An Duong High School (Hai Phong), Hung Yen High School for the Gifted (Hung Yen), and Le Loi High School (Thanh Hoa).
A total of 564 candidates scored above 70 points. The average score for this first TSA batch was 54,01, which is 1,22 points lower than last year's average.
Candidates can view their results on the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's website starting from 9 am today. Digital certificates will be sent directly to registered test accounts for use in university admission applications. Candidates wishing to receive printed copies must register separately.
The TSA, organized by the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, is a large-scale independent examination. Its results are accepted by approximately 50 other institutions for their admissions processes.
The test is divided into three sections: Mathematical Thinking (60 minutes), Reading Comprehension (30 minutes), and Science/Problem Solving (60 minutes). The questions primarily assess candidates' thinking abilities rather than directly testing knowledge of specific subjects, with a total score of 100 points.
