Hanoi University of Science and Technology's TSA is one of the large-scale private exams organized by the university to use results for admission.
The exam comprises three parts: mathematical thinking (60 minutes), reading comprehension (30 minutes), and scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes). The questions focus on assessing candidates' thinking abilities and do not directly test knowledge of any specific subject, with a total score of 100.
Last year, the average score for nearly 28,700 candidates, across more than 55,300 test-takes, was 55,23 out of 100. Approximately 50 universities use these results for admission.
For 2025 admissions, Hanoi University of Science and Technology's cut-off scores based on the thinking assessment test ranged from 46,48 to 86,97, with data science and artificial intelligence programs requiring the highest scores.
