On 26/7, UEH revealed its conversion formula for standardizing admission scores based on various assessment methods, including high school transcripts, the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment, and the V-SAT university entrance exam. These scores are then compared to the 2025 national high school graduation exam results.
The difference between admission scores based on high school transcripts and the national high school graduation exam ranges from 2.6 to 3.5 points. The following table details the conversion:
No. | High School Transcript Score (a < x ≤ b) | National High School Exam Score (c < y ≤ d) |
1 | 29.00 < x ≤ 30.00 | 25.81 < y ≤ 30.00 |
2 | 28.73 < x ≤ 29.00 | 25.57 < y ≤ 25.81 |
3 | 28.30 < x ≤ 28.73 | 25.19 < y ≤ 25.57 |
4 | 27.70 < x ≤ 28.30 | 24.65 < y ≤ 25.19 |
5 | 27.19 < x ≤ 27.70 | 24.20 < y ≤ 24.65 |
6 | 26.71 < x ≤ 27.19 | 23.77 < y ≤ 24.20 |
7 | 26.26 < x ≤ 26.71 | 23.37 < y ≤ 23.77 |
8 | 25.77 < x ≤ 26.26 | 22.94 < y ≤ 23.37 |
9 | 25.23 < x ≤ 25.77 | 22.45 < y ≤ 22.94 |
10 | 24.60 < x ≤ 25.23 | 21.89 < y ≤ 22.45 |
11 | 23.64 < x ≤ 24.60 | 21.04 < y ≤ 21.89 |
12 | 19.50 < x ≤ 23.64 | 16.00 < y ≤ 21.04 |
UEH also provided conversion tables for the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment (DGNL-HCM) and the Can Tho University V-SAT, both compared to the national high school graduation exam scores. Using these tables and linear interpolation, UEH converts scores from different assessment methods into equivalents for the 2025 national high school graduation exam.
The formula is:

Where: x is the student's score (high school transcript, DGNL-HCM, or V-SAT); a and b define the student's score range (a < x ≤ b); y is the equivalent high school graduation exam score; and c and d define the corresponding exam score range (c < y ≤ d).
For example, a student with a DGNL-HCM score of 950 (range 2 in the DGNL-HCM table) would have their score converted as follows:
x = 950; a = 945; b = 969; c = 25.25; d = 26.5
Applying the linear interpolation formula:

Therefore, a DGNL-HCM score of 950 is equivalent to a 25.51 on the 2025 national high school graduation exam.

UEH plans to admit 8,600 students this year. Five days ago, the university announced the minimum entry requirements (floor scores) for its three admission methods. For admission based on the 2025 national high school graduation exam, the floor score is 20 for programs in Ho Chi Minh City and 16 for the Vinh Long campus. For high school transcripts, the minimum scores are 22 and 19.5, respectively. For the Ho Chi Minh City National University Competency Assessment combined with English proficiency, the minimum scores are 702/1200 and 601. The V-SAT, used only for the Vinh Long campus, has a minimum score of 225/450.
In 2024, UEH's admission scores based on the national high school graduation exam ranged from 25.3 to 27.2 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the highest score for Marketing Technology. At the Vinh Long campus, scores ranged from 17 to 22.
Students can register, adjust, and supplement their university application choices an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on 28/7. Online application fee payment is open from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8. University admission decisions will be announced before 5 PM on 22/8.
