On 23/5, candidates completed the literature exam, the first subject in the 10th grade entrance examination for the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities. The exam, lasting 120 minutes, concluded around 10 am.

This year, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) received over 2,000 applications for 150 available 10th-grade slots. The history specialized class recorded the highest competition ratio at 1:15, while the specialized literature and geography classes had ratios of 1:14 and 1:12 respectively.
Candidates are required to complete four exams: literature, mathematics, English, and a specialized subject (literature, history, or geography). The mathematics and English exams are multiple-choice, while the remaining subjects are essay-based.
The admission score is calculated from all four subjects, with the specialized subject weighted by three, for a maximum of 60 points. Candidates must achieve two points or higher in each general subject and six points or higher in their specialized subject.
The mathematics and English exams will take place this afternoon, followed by the specialized subject exam tomorrow morning.
The cut-off scores for the 10th grade at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities for 2026 will be announced before 29/6.
