On 4/2, the Military Admissions Board, under the Ministry of National Defense, announced the structure of its QDA competency assessment test. This marks the first time this exam will be administered.
The test structure mirrors the HSA competency assessment exam administered by Vietnam National University, Hanoi. It consists of three parts: mathematics and data processing/quantitative reasoning, literature - language/qualitative reasoning, and science or English. The total score is 150, with each part contributing 50 points. Candidates will receive their scores immediately upon test completion.

Admission scores for 20 military schools in 2025
The QDA competency assessment test is tentatively scheduled for the 3rd week of June. It will be conducted at three locations: Military Technical Academy in Hanoi, Signal Officer School in Khanh Hoa, and Army Officer School 2 in Dong Nai.
In addition to considering QDA competency assessment test scores, military schools will continue to utilize other admission methods. These include: direct admission, scores from the national high school graduation exam, and competency assessment test scores from Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Prospective candidates applying to military schools must first undergo preliminary local screening.
