According to the plan approved by the Lam Dong provincial People's Committee on 21/8, the school mergers resulted in 1,687 redundant personnel. This figure includes 560 principals, 447 vice-principals, and the remainder consisting of accountants, clerks, and treasurers.
Following a review and reorganization, 949 individuals will transition to teaching positions, while 578 others will retire and receive benefits.
The province now has 825 public schools, a reduction from the initial 1,453 schools, marking a 43,22% decrease. Primary schools experienced the most significant reduction, falling from 557 to 245. High schools saw a decrease of 21 from their existing 93. Preschool and lower secondary schools were reduced by 188 and 155, respectively.
The appointments of new personnel and the transfer of staff and finances were completed before 30/8, aligning with the national schedule.

Nationwide, the public school network is undergoing restructuring to shift from an "education management" mindset to "education development governance," aiming to enhance quality. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the number of school units nationwide has decreased by approximately 17,100, representing a 45,7% reduction, with over 20,000 principals and vice-principals reassigned.
