A month into the 2026-2027 academic year, Ngoi Sao Ha Noi School announced admissions for grade one for the next year. The school aims to admit 320 students. The school announced that admissions will run from 30/9 until the quota is filled. Parents will receive results via email.

The school conducts admissions through club activities, with registration opening on 3/10. Students must attend four experiential sessions every saturday to be considered for admission. Parents will receive results within one week.
Pascal Secondary School announced it will admit 190 grade six students for the upcoming academic year. Selection is based on three assessment tests in Math, Vietnamese, and English, with a maximum score of 60 points. The school also offers up to 11 bonus points for students who self-study using its learning management system (LMS), participate in clubs, or whose parents submit letters sharing their perspectives on the school.
Ha Noi Adelaide School (HAS) is accepting students for grades one, six, and ten for 2027. For primary and secondary levels, the school offers the Explorer program, focusing on natural ability development, and the Innovator program, which builds an English foundation. At the high school level, students can choose between the Prime program, a high-quality option, and the Global program, a dual-degree pathway.
Many other private schools, such as Olympia, Dewey, and Minh Tri High School, have also opened admissions for the 2027-2028 academic year.
Admission methods vary by level and program, but most schools primarily review academic records and conduct interviews. For specialized programs, such as high school dual-degree programs, applicants will take an IELTS simulation test.
Currently, Ha Noi has approximately 600 non-public general education schools, serving over 356,000 students, with an average class size of 19. Tuition fees for these institutions range from 1-3 million VND to 100 million VND per month. The common fee is under 10 million VND, but this typically excludes additional costs such as admission, registration, uniforms, facilities, and supplementary or advanced Math and English classes.
