Opportunities to find scholarships for studying abroad in Hong Kong

The "HKU Future Asia" open day offers opportunities to learn about training programs, experience classes, meet alumni, and access scholarship information.

The University of Hong Kong (HKU), through its Vietnam Representative Office, is hosting the "HKU Future Asia" Open Day in TP HCM on 12/9. This event caters to students, working professionals, and applicants interested in studying at HKU.

An organizer's representative shared that beyond providing admissions information, the program features experiential activities and direct dialogues. These sessions help attendees explore HKU's academic environment, training programs, scholarships, and the experiences of Vietnamese students at the university.

One key component of "HKU Future Asia" is the Info Session. Here, the HKU admissions team introduces various training programs, admission requirements, and study pathways. This includes bachelor's programs across multiple fields and master's programs in business.

The Sample Class activity offers a direct experience in a classroom setting with an HKU professor. Instead of merely receiving admissions information, attendees can familiarize themselves with problem-solving approaches, analytical thinking, and interactive methods within an international university environment.

The Alumni Sharing session features Vietnamese alumni who share their experiences studying and living in Hong Kong, along with their post-graduation career development. This provides students with realistic insights before choosing their academic path.

Scholarship information is another highlight of the event. For bachelor's programs, HKU offers scholarships to outstanding international students, with some covering full tuition fees.

Master's candidates in business fields can explore the Dean’s Masters Fellowship, which provides support ranging from 275,000 HKD to full tuition. The program also includes opportunities such as internships in Hong Kong, mentorship during studies, and support for participating in courses at HKU's global centers.

During the Open Day, the admissions team will directly answer questions regarding scholarship conditions, application procedures, and deadlines.

HKU ranks 11th globally and 1st in Asia, according to the QS World University Rankings 2026. A university representative noted that the University of Hong Kong's location connects China, Asia, and international economic centers. This allows students to access a diverse academic environment and network across the region.

In Vietnam, HKU established its Representative Office in 2022, steadily expanding its activities in education, research, business connections, and alumni engagement.

Amid growing educational and economic relations between Vietnam, Hong Kong, and other Asian markets, "HKU Future Asia" aims to create a direct connection space for young Vietnamese with an international university and the regional academic community.

This event moves beyond typical admissions information, combining consultation, class experiences, and alumni interactions. This comprehensive approach helps attendees better visualize study programs, the training environment, and post-graduation development options.
