This group of candidates applied for admission using a combination of international certificates and high school graduation exam scores, a 33% increase compared to last year. Candidates with an IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 80, or an SAT score of 1340/1600 or higher receive bonus points calculated as follows:

According to the announcement by Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy on 20/7, nearly 170 students have both English language certificates and SAT scores. Two candidates achieved both an IELTS score of 8.5 and an SAT score of 1560/1600, receiving the highest bonus of 1.73 points. Another student with an IELTS score of 8.5 and an SAT score of approximately 1550 received 1.72 bonus points.
Those with only IELTS or TOEFL received between 0.6 and 0.88 bonus points.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy is admitting over 2,576 students this year through various methods: direct admission according to Ministry of Education and Training regulations; high school graduation exam scores; a combination of high school graduation exam scores and international certificates; and pre-university programs. A week ago, the university announced a list of 13 students admitted directly.
Tuition fees for the 2025 academic year at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy are expected to be 30-87 million VND per year, depending on the program.
Last year, the benchmark scores for admission based on high school graduation exam results at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy ranged from 21.45 to 27.8. The medical program had the highest benchmark score.
