This year, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine plans to admit over 2,100 students, an increase of more than 200 compared to the previous year. Admission is based on two methods: direct admission and high school graduation exam scores.
In addition to the five existing combinations – B00 (Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology), B03 (Mathematics, Literature, Biology), A00 (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Mathematics, Physics, English), and B08 (Mathematics, Biology, English) – the university will also consider two additional combinations: D01 (Mathematics, Literature, English) and D07 (Mathematics, Chemistry, English).
Specifically, combination D01 applies to the traditional medicine program, and D07 to the ophthalmic refraction program.
The university does not apply score differences between subject combinations. For combinations that include English, candidates must use their high school graduation exam English score; certificate conversions are not accepted. If multiple candidates have the same admission score, the tie-breaking criterion will be the high school graduation exam mathematics score.
For the 2026 admission cohort, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine's tuition fees are projected to range from 47 million VND to 81 million VND, an increase of 5 million VND to 25 million VND compared to last year.
Last year, the university's admission benchmark ranged from 18 to 25,55 points, with the highest for the medicine program.
