On the afternoon of 9/8, the university announced that control and automation engineering surpassed economic law to become the major with the highest cutoff score this year. This score represents the total of three high school graduation exam subjects on a 30-point scale. Mechatronics engineering followed with 24,18 points.
The lowest admission threshold is 19, applicable to two majors: construction engineering and management, and resource engineering and management (both advanced programs). This marks a 2-point increase compared to last year. Most other majors have an entry requirement between 21 and 23 points.

For the 2026 academic year, Thuy Loi University plans to admit 5,000 students through four admission methods: direct admission, academic transcripts combined with priority criteria (IELTS, provincial excellent student awards, specialized high school students), high school graduation exam results, and thinking assessment test (TSA) scores.
Students can look up tuition fees for 120 universities with new students.
After receiving results, admitted candidates must confirm their enrollment online via the Ministry of Education and Training's system by 17h on 21/8. They should also complete other admission procedures according to each university's specific schedule.
