Trade university sets admission floor score at 20, announces conversion formula

The Trade University (TMU) has set its minimum admission score for the 2025 high school graduation exam at 20, the same as last year. This translates to 89/150 on the TSA and 58/100 on the TSA.

According to the university's July 23 announcement, the floor score is the total of three high school graduation exam subjects, graded on a 30-point scale, including any bonus points for region or special circumstances. This is the same as last year. Candidates must achieve at least this score to be eligible to apply.

The university also published a table converting scores between different admission methods. A high school graduation exam score of 20-22.5 is equivalent to 20-25 points for combined academic record and IELTS evaluation, 80-89 points for the high school assessment (HSA), and 50-58 for the thinking skills assessment (TSA). The details are as follows:

Percentile scores for 7 exam combinations - University admission score prediction

This year, the Trade University is recruiting over 5,300 students for 45 majors and programs. Among them are 7 new programs following the international professional orientation (IPOP): Brand Management (Marketing), International Certified Integrated Auditing (Auditing), Investment Economics and Management (Economics), Business Law (Economic Law), E-commerce (E-commerce), Management Information Systems (Management Information Systems), and Commercial Chinese (Chinese Language).

There are five admission methods: direct admission and priority admission; using the 2025 high school graduation exam score; considering HSA and TSA results; combined evaluation of exam scores, academic records, and international certificates; and combined evaluation of exam scores and provincial-level excellent student awards.

For admission methods involving international certificates, the university accepts IELTS scores of 5.0 or higher, or equivalent. Certificate scores are converted to a 10-point scale, with an additional bonus of 0.5 to 3 points. For example, a candidate with an IELTS score of 5.0 receives a converted score of 10, plus a 0.5-point bonus. Candidates with a 7.0 IELTS also receive a converted score of 10, but with a 3-point bonus.

For methods using excellent student awards, the university requires at least a third-place prize at the provincial level. Students receive a bonus of 1 to 2 points, added to their total score from the three graduation exam subjects.

Tuition fees for the 2025-2026 academic year at the Trade University range from 24 to nearly 28 million VND for standard programs and 38.5 million VND for IPOP programs. For advanced programs and international joint programs, the tuition fee is 195-260 million VND per course.

Tuition fees of over 100 universities

Based on the conversion table and the minimum score, candidates can register and adjust their applications an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on July 28. Candidates can pay the application fee online from July 29 to 5 PM on August 5. Universities will announce admission scores before 5 PM on August 22.
