On 8/7, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) announced its minimum admission score, the lowest score required for candidates to apply.
The university's main campus in Ho Chi Minh City accepts applications from candidates with 65/100 points. The minimum score for the Vinh Long campus is 60. This minimum score applies to the composite admission method, calculated as follows:
Admission Score = Exam Score x 60% + High School GPA x 40% + Bonus Points (if applicable) + Priority Points (if applicable)
Details of the components are as follows:
- Exam Score: Candidates can use scores from one of the following 2026 exams: the high school graduation exam (based on subject combinations), the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City's competency assessment test (V-ACT), or the V-SAT university entrance assessment test (only for the Vinh Long campus). If a candidate has multiple scores, UEH will convert them to equivalent values across exams, selecting the most advantageous option for the candidate.
- High School GPA = (Grade 10 average x one + Grade 11 average x two + Grade 12 average x three) / 6.
- Bonus points are the sum of reward and incentive points, with a maximum of 10/100 points.
For students who graduate from international high school programs, the admission score calculation formula is:
Admission Score = High School GPA + Bonus Points (if applicable) + Priority Points (if applicable)
If not applying for direct admission, candidates who win first, second, or third prizes in national or international excellent student or science and technology competitions will receive 6-10 bonus points.
The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City announced that it aims to enroll approximately 8,900 students across its two campuses this year. About 5% of these spots are reserved for direct admission, following the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, with the remaining spots filled through combined admission methods.
