The University of Economics and Law (UEL), Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, announced its minimum admission score, or benchmark score, on the morning of 9/7. This score represents the minimum requirement for candidates to submit their applications.
This year, besides direct admission and priority direct admission, the university allocates most of its enrollment quotas to comprehensive admission. Admission scores are calculated on a 100-point scale, comprising academic scores (combining high school graduation exam results, V-ACT competency assessment, and academic transcripts), bonus points, and priority points.
For this method, the university applies a minimum score of 60/100 for all majors, excluding bonus and priority points. Additionally, candidates must achieve a total high school graduation exam score of 15/30 or higher for their chosen admission combination, as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Specifically for the Law group of majors, students must include exam and academic transcript scores for mathematics or literature of 6 or higher in their chosen combinations. If applying with the D01 combination (mathematics, literature, English), both mathematics and literature scores must be 6 or higher.
University of Economics and Law's 2026 admission score calculation formula
This year, the university will admit 3,200 students, an increase of 500 compared to last year. Tuition fees for the University of Economics and Law's 2026 intake are projected to be 35,8 million VND per year for Vietnamese-taught programs. English-taught programs have higher fees, ranging from 55 to 73,5 million VND per year.
