Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Head of the university's Testing and Education Quality Assurance Department, made this prediction on 7/8, based on the high school graduation exam score distribution, the number of applicants, and admissions data from previous years.
According to Dr. Hoa, admission scores for many majors will decrease, falling into two groups.
The first group, comprising traditionally high-demand majors like Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Automotive Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechatronics Engineering, is unlikely to see significant changes. Any decrease would be minimal.
"The admission scores for these majors are expected to remain stable, between 25.5 and nearly 27," Dr. Hoa stated.
For most other majors, admission scores could decrease by 0.5-1 point compared to last year, landing between 22 and 24. However, the lowest score is likely to remain at 20, similar to last year, for majors like Transportation Construction Engineering and Hydraulic Construction Engineering.

This year, the University of Transport is admitting 6,340 students to its main campus in Hanoi and 1,800 to its TP HCM campus. The four admission methods include: high school graduation exam scores and awards for national and international competition winners; high school transcripts; National University of Hanoi and TP HCM competency assessment scores; and Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test scores.
The university will convert admission scores between methods to a common 30-point scale, as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training.
