Vietnam National University, Hanoi opens registration for 2026 competency assessment exam

Starting at 9h on 1/2, Vietnam National University, Hanoi opened registration for the HSA competency assessment exam, with a fee of 600,000 VND per test session.

This year's HSA exam will be conducted in six distinct sessions, with candidates permitted to register for only one. Students should therefore carefully review their mid-term exam schedules at school to prevent conflicts. The initial registration window is from 1/2 to 7/2, accessible via the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Testing Information Portal or the official HSA website.

An additional registration opportunity is available for candidates seeking a second session, provided there are still open slots. This secondary registration period runs from 8/2 to 14/2. Upon successful registration, candidates must submit the required fee within 1-96 hours to secure their place and avoid cancellation.

The HSA is recognized as one of the two largest independent examinations nationwide, attracting a substantial number of participants annually. Each year, approximately 60,000 to 90,000 candidates take the exam. Last year, the average score among candidates was 78.8/150, marking a two-point increase from the previous year. The top scorer achieved 130 points. Currently, about 100 universities across the country accept HSA results for their admission processes.
