Wang Xinfang, a 54-year-old Chinese actor, was discovered deceased in his rental room in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on 5/9. Police investigations have ruled out both murder and suicide as causes of death. The actor's passing was reported by Jimu News on 10/9.

He was in Xi'an to film a short movie. On 5/9, when he failed to report for work, crew members attempted to contact him multiple times without success. A crew member then visited his room, where they found him unresponsive.

His son confirmed the police findings, stating that Wang Xinfang suffered from high blood pressure and diabetes, though these conditions were not considered severe. The family opted not to conduct an autopsy and transported his body back to his hometown for cremation and funeral services.

Born in 1972 in Hebei province, Wang Xinfang dedicated nine years to his film career, appearing in dozens of films and television series in supporting roles. In 2023, he portrayed a simple rural man in "Meet Yourself", a drama starring Liu Yifei and Li Xian.

His other notable works included Bach phat, Phong tai khoi thoi, Dai Tong thieu nien chi, Thieu nu dai nhan, Truong Ca hanh, and Phu the song kieu truyen.

An acquaintance revealed that Wang Xinfang pursued acting after a business venture failed. For the past nine years, he consistently traveled with various film crews, often renting inexpensive apartments to manage costs. On set, he was known for his dedication to his characters. Those who knew him did not suspect he had any serious illness. This year, he had completed filming several projects, with post-production still pending.
