Song Young Kyu was born on 18/4/1970 and graduated from the Department of Theatre and Film at the Seoul Institute of the Arts. He was a former member of the Seoul Metropolitan Musical Theatre Company and a visiting professor in the Acting Department at Semyung University. His first role was in the 1994 children's musical "The Taoist Priest".
