The song, composed by DTAP, pays tribute to previous generations who sacrificed for independence and freedom, and conveys a message about the responsibility of young people in nation-building.
Ha Anh Tuan said, "I appreciate and admire DTAP's project for its pure and sincere patriotism. Music is magical in that it creates a large embrace from the natural vibrations of our roots and shared heritage, and above all, gratitude. I am happy to be a part of this work."
The music video, directed by Kawaii Tuan Anh, features real footage from the recent 50th reunification anniversary. He used film of the parade and hundreds of clips sent in from people across the country, depicting the atmosphere filled with red flags in every street, village, building, and stadium. The production team also used materials provided by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and various news and television agencies.

On YouTube, the music video has received positive feedback from viewers. "The song touches the listener's heart. The melody is modern, with a traditional feel, making the music accessible yet full of national spirit. Ha Anh Tuan's voice is warm, expressive, solemn, and yearning, as if telling the story of the country with all his heart," commented user Mdung.
"My House Has a Flag" is part of DTAP's "Made in Vietnam" project, featuring 16 songs that showcase Vietnamese culture, history, landscapes, and spirit.
Ha Anh Tuan, 41, was a top-3 finalist in Sao Mai Diem Hen 2006. His albums Saigon Radio (2008), Cocktail (2010), and Street Rhythm (2015) were nominated for the Cong Hien Award. At the end of 2016, Ha Anh Tuan launched the music project See Sing Share 9, consisting of 10 episodes released on YouTube. The project led to a series of acclaimed live shows in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024, including: Fragile, Sweet Memories, Romance - The Man & The Flower on His Left Chest, Short Stories, Veston, Healed Wounds, Bright Horizon, and Sketch A Rose.
