The artist recently returned to the screen as Bich Chot in the intelligence-themed film Tan hien. Her character is an associate of Nguyen Thanh (alias Thanh Lai, played by Hua Vi Van). Bich carries deep physical and emotional wounds from her past but consistently appears resilient and tough. She values loyalty, ready to sacrifice herself without fear of any danger.
While watching her mother film, especially action scenes where she was beaten, Minh Cuc’s daughter, Tu Minh, often could not control her emotions, crying out in distress. Each time this happened, her maternal grandparents would gently explain and comfort her, saying, "That's just a movie, Mom Cuc isn't really getting hurt." Conversely, when watching her mother perform in comedic roles, Tu Minh would laugh with delight.
Tu Minh was born in 2011. Due to complications during birth, the baby contracted a severe infection, leading to liver, kidney, and heart failure, and brain damage. For many years, Minh Cuc has accepted her daughter’s condition, patiently helping her with treatment and integrating into life.

The actress's daughter is currently 15 years old, entering a stage with many changes in both health and psychology. Tu Minh has grown taller and become more sensitive and easily saddened. Every day, Minh Cuc makes an effort to spend time with her daughter, playing and caring for her meticulously. When she is busy with work, her parents and older brother help care for Tu Minh.
"This year, I decided to celebrate Tu Minh's birthday at a small restaurant, marking a new milestone in her journey of growing up. If she didn't have her illness, she would now be a young woman, just like her peers. During the party, I felt her emotion; she sometimes choked up, which moved me and her grandparents," Minh Cuc shared.

Previously, during the 1/5 holiday, she took her daughter on a trip to Vinh Hy Bay, Khanh Hoa, after a busy period with work. Since her daughter can only eat soft foods, she prepared various flavors of instant fresh porridge and formula milk. For some meals, she fed her daughter finely mashed shrimp.
Due to booking tickets close to the travel date and during peak season, the airfare for the two of them was the most expensive part of the trip. However, she felt everything was worth it to enjoy the wild, peaceful atmosphere of the bay with her daughter.
Tu Minh, her daughter, has loved playing in the water since she was small and was excited about the trip. Before departure, she was so happy she could not sleep. "Standing by the sea, I saw her eyes light up, laughing heartily whenever I let her go into the water. I want her to experience every happy and joyful thing," she said.
Since 2022, Minh Cuc has tried to travel with her daughter once a year. Most recently, Tu Minh visited Nha Trang. Last year, due to a busy work schedule, the actress could not take her daughter on a distant trip. "After each trip, she grumbles for a few days when we have to return home. When I go to work, she cries, wanting to come along. At those times, I have to reassure her that Mom needs to earn money to take her to the beach again," the actress explained.

Since Tu Minh was small, she accepted her daughter's illness and had no thought of hiding it. "My daughter has already suffered a disadvantage; if I keep her at home, she will feel even more constrained. As a mother, I would also feel stifled and uncomfortable. I like to expose Tu Minh to the outside world, show her wonderful things, and see her smile," Minh Cuc said.
After a marriage and a long-term relationship ended, the actress lives alone to dedicate all her time and effort to her daughter. She stated her view on relationships: "I am someone who has loved wholeheartedly, but once I decide to let go, I am also very decisive. If someone genuinely approaches, I am still ready to welcome them. But when they leave, I do not hold them back or cling. I also do not believe I have the right to ask anyone to be responsible for my life."
In addition to acting, Minh Cuc receives invitations for advertisements and livestream sales on various platforms, earning a stable income. "Acting and caring for my child consume almost all my time, so I rarely feel lonely or sad. I only hope to have enough health to pursue my career and raise my daughter," Minh Cuc said.
The actress, born in 1986, graduated from Hanoi College of Art and was a student of artist Anh Tu. She works at the Youth Theater, having performed in plays such as Nha co ba chi em gai, Co gai doi mu noi xam, and Bien dang. On the small screen, the actress made her mark with roles like Xinh (Ve nha di con), Binh (Cuoc doi van dep sao), and Ly (Doc dao).
