Actress Lam Thanh My, a familiar face in many films, appeared at the first audition on 17/5.
Hoang Quan, producer of the film "Dat Do", stated that the most important criteria are suitability in appearance and age, with box office appeal not being the primary factor. According to him, the actress playing Sister Vo Thi Sau needs fierce eyes and an innocent look, capable of portraying her journey from childhood to maturity as a revolutionary.
Lam Thanh My, 21 years old, rose to prominence after participating in "Doat Hon" (2014), a film by Ham Tran. In the same year, Victor Vu invited her to star in "Scandal 2 - Hao Quang Tro Lai". In 2015, Victor Vu's adaptation of Nguyen Nhat Anh's novel, "Toi Thay Hoa Vang Tren Co Xanh", established her as a prominent child star in Vietnamese cinema.

Lam Thanh Nha garnered attention upon her return after the film "Mua Do".
Directed by Le Van Kiet, known for "Hai Phuong", the film is a drama and action production. The script partially focuses on Vo Thi Sau's simple childhood and her years in the Long My resistance zone and Ba Ria base, where children faced the upheavals of the era.
The film also delves into Sister Sau's story of becoming a member of the Dat Do Pioneer Police Unit. The grim prison settings, including the suffocating "tiger cages" and "cow cages", will be recreated. The project is scheduled to begin filming in Q3 this year, for a 2027 release, marking 75 years since national hero Vo Thi Sau's sacrifice (1952-2027).
