Actress Thanh Hue's striking presence in 'Lua trang'

Thanh Hue, 25, gains attention for her portrayals of "bad girls" and criminals in crime dramas like "Doc dao", "Biet duoc den", and "Lua trang".

The actress is currently drawing attention for her role as Truc in director Bui Quoc Viet's film "Lua trang". Truc operates under the command of boss Cong, the leader of a gang transporting goods from abroad. To evade investigation, he establishes a seemingly legitimate company, appointing her as its deputy financial director.

Thanh Hue made her television debut as Van in the series "Biet duoc den", directed by Pham Gia Phuong and Tran Trong Khoi. The actress played the daughter of a wealthy family who falls into addiction. At the time of filming, she was a third-year student at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema.

According to Thanh Hue, Truc is a character with extensive experience, cunning, and calculative nature, ready to exploit anyone for her benefit. Given her relatively young age and limited professional experience, the actress initially worried about embodying the role.

In episode 4, the scene where Truc confronts Mai (Viet Hoa) stands out as one of Thanh Hue's most memorable segments. Initially, she felt uncomfortable using informal "you" forms with her co-star, as she is 5 years younger than Viet Hoa in real life. With the director's and her senior colleague's support, she gained confidence to complete the scene.

Thanh Hue's appearance as Tuyet, a casino owner in "Doc dao" (directed by Pham Gia Phuong and Tran Trong Khoi). Tuyet captivates Khuong (Duy Hung), the son of crime boss Le Toan (Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai), from their first encounter. The two share many humorous interactions, earning audience affection.

To portray these "bad girl" roles, Thanh Hue researched films like "Quynh bup be" and other series featuring similar characters. She then refined, learned, and adapted these elements to develop her unique style.

Thanh Hue states she does not wish to limit herself to any specific type of role. She is eager to challenge herself with any character, whether gentle and innocent or villainous and edgy.

Before venturing into acting, Thanh Hue studied classical dance at the Vietnam Dance Academy. According to the actress, her family supports all her decisions, providing a strong source of emotional encouragement. Having been independent from an early age, she consistently receives trust and reassurance from her relatives.

The actress currently works at the Vietnam National Drama Theater. Beyond television, she plans to dedicate time to the stage, hoping to participate in drama festivals and competitions.

Regarding her personal life, Thanh Hue remains private, rarely discussing her relationships as she desires a peaceful space and prefers audiences to focus on her career. "Love is a matter of emotion, needing to be nurtured naturally rather than pressured by external attention. When the time is right, I will share it with the public", she said.
